Feng Shui originated in China about 5,000 years ago and literally means "Wind, Water". It considers the constantly changing flow and quality of energy (also referred to as "Qi") in our environment. Qi is life-force energy and it is everywhere and present in everything. Qi is often called "Cosmic breath" or "Dragon Breath". Feng Shui is just as relevant today as it is based on "Universal Truth" and principals.
Feng Shui is much more than an ancient Chinese "art of placement". It is a holistic practice, which encompasses science, philosophy, astrology, architectural and interior design principles, the esoteric and common sense, as well as contemporary themes of Building Biology, Sick Building Syndrome, Geomancy and Space Clearing. Feng Shui is a metaphysical science of understanding you environment, how it affects us and how to use it to support our goals and endeavours. It is revealing, transforming and empowering as it allows us to align our environment with our desires and ambitions.
A building's Flying Star Chart can be "read" in the similar way in which we read Tarot Cards, numerology or astrology. Flying Star Feng Shui is in fact a "Natal Chart" based on astrology, numerology and the 3 X 3 "Lou Shu Square", which is a famous Sigil also referred to as the Magic Square of Saturn or Chronos.
Feng Shui is based on energy or "Qi" and the Chinese believe that all energy can be expressed in terms of the 5 Chinese elements - wood, fire, earth, metal & water, as well as Yin & Yang - the fundamental feminine and masculine energies. The way in which these elements interact is foundations of Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui.

Buildings, houses and objects all pick up and retain energy - energy from the actions, intention and the thoughts of the people who live inside them, whether they are positive or negative. Energy "patterns" or "grooves" are created in houses and buildings, much like a record. Our belief patterns, our energy, our thoughts and experiences are all engraved in our homes or work places.
Space Clearing is the act of creating sacred space or clear space for us to live in and often involves the ritual or ceremony of "Space Clearing". Space Clearing is also often required to clear away stagnant, unwanted and negative energy and psychic debris from a building. Space clearing and creating sacred space has been done for hundreds of years and is practised by most cultures over the world. There was a time when a new building would not be built without consecrating the ground; or moving into a new home or business before a blessing had been performed.
Space clearing cleanses a building or home of stagnant, unhealthy energy. There are times when a space or room looks clean, but doesn't feel clean. There is a stale, heavy or sticky "feel" to the air that lingers even after a normal cleaning. This is particularly obvious in old houses or buildings, or when moving into newer premises that has been previously occupied.
Some people can pick up the energetic "leftovers" in a room where someone has died, been sick, argued or has been emotionally troubled. Other common examples where space clearing is necessary are: houses where couples have moved in and then separated or divorced; premises where previous owners have been ill and new owners have also become sick; premises where businesses have repeatedly lost money. Space clearing will break up the lower levels of vibrations and remove entities, ghosts and spirits that remain or linger.
Our environment has an influence on our conscious thoughts and actions, but is also a reflection, or "a mirror" of ourselves. Therefore, it is important to create a calm, peaceful and loving atmosphere for ourselves, our families, our employees or our "loved ones". We can achieve this by creating sacred space and by using Space Clearing techniques.
