The beginning of August marks Imbolc, thecelebration of light and the first spark of spring. It’s a beautiful time as winter gracefully retreats and spring joyfully approaches. Buds are swelling, the sun’s warmth is growing more inviting, and vibrant bulbs are boldly breaking through the soil, displaying their beauty.
I’m captivated by the delicious aroma of jonquils, daffodils, and daphne, while the gorgeous hellebores and rhododendrons paint a colourful canvas around me. A surge of hope and excitement fills my heart for this new awakening—a fresh chapter brimming with energy and vibrant life after winter’s quiet slumber.
After a couple of months of deep winter, we have had time for introspection and to explore what truly resonates with our soul, leaving behind what no longer serves us to pursue a more fulfilling path. Have the courage to move on from situations or relationships that have become stagnant, unfulfilling or unsatisfying. The time has come to seek something more authentic, deeper or more meaningful.
Utilise these last weeks of winter to reflect, reassess your current situation and gain new perspectives on your life. Don’t be afraid to surrender to change and release what you no longer desire. Sometimes we need to give something up in order to gain something of greater value.
Take time to weigh up options, consider all sides – the pro’s and con’s, but above all, be truthful and fair to yourself. Act with integrity and have confidence that you make the right decisions.
By the end of August, you can step forward towards a new chapter, a journey of personal growth and transformation. So, as spring approaches, a fresh start, renewed energy and enthusiasm awaits you. Be willing to take risks and explore new possibilities!
