A very Happy New Year! I’m sure that everyone is pleased to see the end of 2020! I certainly hope that 2021 will be far better and bring happiness, prosperity and good health to all. So, what is coming up in January?
There is a definite theme of endings, closure and new beginning as we start the new year. January kicks off with the Death card with many feeling that we don’t want what to experience another year like 2020! However, Death suggests that we will never get back to the old normal and that life has changed forever. There has been a massive transformation. January brings change and rebirth with a new awareness and new beliefs.
The Eight of Swords in week 2 reveals that restrictions may be imposed again, probably due to the festive season and new year celebrations – especially if you are not already in stage 3 or 4 lockdown. You may be feeling stuck, trapped or immobilised. But, you may have more options than you realise, so open your eyes to new possibilities. You may need to let go of an old story first.
Don’t get too caught up in fantasy, dreams or even your fears in week 3. It is time to look at all your options and make a choice. Be clear about what you want and where you are heading. But, consider all your options carefully as all may not be what it seems to be – the Seven of Cups is a “smoke and mirrors” card! Just do your research before making a decision.
The final week of January brings closure on the last year, and success, as everything starts coming together. There will be joy, happiness and abundance as you begin a new cycle. A new world is opening up for you.
The events of 2020 may have left you feeling shattered, as though your life is in pieces and fragmented now. Reflect on the past year and what it has meant for you. Has it changed your beliefs or your priorities? Hold your broken self in a nurturing and loving realm until you feel strong and rejuvenated again. There are parts of yourself that are yet to be realised.
Nature has such a profound effect on your wellbeing: it relieves depression, anxiety and negativity. So spend time connecting with Nature as it will help you to heal and feel grounded. It will be easier in the southern hemisphere where it’s summer, and you want to spend time enjoying the sunshine, being at the beach or walking in the countryside. If you’re in the northern hemisphere, try to enjoy the crisp, fresh air winter, relish the beauty of bare trees. Otherwise set up an altar with fresh flowers, rocks, crystals, twigs, leaves, grasses or sand.
Finally, be aware of signs that may appear and take note. Tap into your intuitive side and notice when Spirit is sending you messages. Signs are gifts from the Universe, the Spirit World and your guardian angels, and they there to help you.
